Puck (działka 123), woj. pomorskie. Badania w latach 2010-2011

Abstrakt

In 2010 and 2011 archaeologicalexcavations were carried out in the area of the back of a burgher plot at the Market square. the plot was situated in the south- -eastern block of buildings of the location town of Puck (site 1, aZP ‘archeologiczne Zdjęcie Polski – archaeological Record of Poland’ 04–42; Fig. 1). obtained research resultsallow forareconstruction of the management of the backyard of the plot in its earliest period of use. the plot was settled in the course of formation of the location town in the 3rd quarter of the 14th c., after the grant of the location privilege in 1348. this is pointed out by the chronology of portable finds which were extracted from the earliest usage layers of the backyard. In this period, the backyard fulfilled the role of a household and sanitary base. In the course of research, traces of original divisions of the plot and remains of two latrines and a cellar of a household building (Figs. 2:A–C, 3) were discovered. they came into existence in the 3rd and the 4th quarter of the 14th c. Later cultural layers, coming from the 15th c. and the modern period, were removed in the course of present-day levelling of the terrain. their only remains are another two latrines which are dated to the 16th c. (Fig. 2:D) and the 17th/18th c. respectively (Fig. 2:E).
