Abstract

The works were carried out between the 29th of June and 28th of July 2015. 2 They involved 22 persons, including students of the University of Warsaw, volunteers, and researchers from Poland and the Russian federation. The excavations were conducted in the southern part of Trench XXv, which covers the area of the so-called Turkish embankment (the eastern part of Square 114 and the squares 118–120)and thearea ofa defensive ditch (squares 26–29). The aims of this year’s research were first to capture the eastern border of Room C in Square 114, second to remove cultural horizons spread over the rest of the Hellenistic architecture in the squares 118–120, as well as to prepare them for exploration in future seasons.
