A new dedicatory inscription from Novae (Moesia Inferior)

Abstract

In 2013, within the framework of non-invasive investigations in the vicinity of the legionary fortress at Novae(MoesiaInferior),a geophysical prospection and planigraphy of metal finds was carried out in the area of an archaeological site located a little more than 2.5 km to the east of the fortress, in a place known as ostrite Mogili, presumed vicus (fig. 1). 1 Such settlements were often granted the status of municipium.
