Abstract
In the 2010 season, there were two research campaigns in Ptolemais: in May and in September/october. 1 The main aim of the Spring campaign was to finish the project of documentation of the Christian churches identified in Ptolemais. 2 There were conducted geophysical surveys, 3 precise measurementsand an architecturalanalysis in order to construct a 3d model of the Western Basilica, 4 as well as studies of portable finds from the surveys conducted near the Central Basilica. No excavations were carried out then. The Autumn campaign5 included excavations which constituted a continuation of the study of dwellings in insula E XXI, in the eastern part of the city, conducted since 2001 by the Institute of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw. 6 Geophysical measurements werecarried outas well as part of the project of preparing a geophysical map of the accessible areas of the city, which is an important element of Polish topographic studies in Ptolemais.
