Abstract

Dear Readers, With a considerable delay we give into your hands the vIIth (XLvIIIth) volume of “Światowit.” The delay is due to many reasons, which are not worth discussing here. We have decided to keep the numbering and to send the vIIIth (XLIXth) volumeto pressearlier – which isalready edited by the new editorial team – in order to be consistent with the order of submission of papers by the authors. The vIIth volume, therefore, contains earlier texts (as planned), although it appears in print later that the vIIIth volume. It must be stressed that the papers published in this volume weresubmitted some yearsago and they are published in their original form. It is only in the case of a few texts that they were completed with the most recent scholarship.
