Отчет о совместный исследованиях, Проведенных в Танаисе в сезон 2003 года

Abstract

В июне-июле 2003 года польско-российский отряд Нижне-Донской археологической экспедиции Института Археологии РАН под руководством Т. Арсеньевой продолжил археологические раскопки на участке XXV, расположенным на запад от западной эллинистической оборонительной стены. С польской стороны в работах участвовали сотрудники, аспиранты и выпускники Института Археологии Варшавского Университета: Т. Кароляк, Т. Шолль (руководитель с польской стороны), С. Зыга, Р. Выдмух - археологи, Б. Балюкевич - антрополог, М. Вольски - архитектор, а также студенты ИА Варшавского Университета1 . Российскую сторону представляли сотрудники Музея-заповедника Танаис и Ростовского государственного университета: Л. Казакова и С. Науменко - керамист, а также студенты РГУ2 . Также работали с нами волонтеры3 .<br>TANAIS - WARSAW UNIVERSITY EXCAVATIONS IN THE 2003 SEASON. Work in trench XXV was carried out by the Polish-Russian section of the Lower Don Archaeological Expedition, put in the field by the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Fieldwork objectives in this season included uncovering the remains of a Late Hellenistic bridge of unique wood-and-stone construction. Two pits for the stakes supporting the wooden platform of the bridge were cleared and in addition to this, the drive onto the bridge from the steppe was excavated. Under a stone wall shoring up the entrance ramp, a pit with a dog burial, presumed to be a foundation deposit, was discovered. Further graves of the children's necropolis were investigated, including one made in an amphora of the 2nd century AD. Meriting interest among the small finds was an intact iron sicle.
